Join us for the first public viewing in 155 years of a hidden treasure: View of the north shore, Port Melbourne by WFE Liardet, and related items from the State Library Victoria collection.

This rare and vibrant watercolour, depicting a bustling regatta in early Melbourne, has been held in a private collection, away from public view since it was painted and on show in 1862.

Also hear from two special guest speakers: Alison Inglis, Associate Professor in Art History at the University of Melbourne, and writer and historian Robyn Annear.

The ticket price includes drinks and canapés. Become a Friend of the Library to receive a special discounted ticket price.
